5 hotels I check for availability when I travel to NYC

New York City is the home of some of the most amazing hotels.

That’s why it’s pretty difficult to narrow it down. It’s all budget dependent. I prefer the smaller boutique hotel types as opposed to the big “shiny” mega hotels. So the list below will be a reflection of that.

1. The Beekman

The Beekman is a true New York staple since 1761. The heart of The Beekman is undoubtedly its nine-story atrium, capped by a pyramidal skylight. This one-of-a-kind feature has been passionately restored, illuminating the hotel from within. When you enter this hotel you slip back in time – old school glamour meets 21st century luxury. Not many buildings in Manhattan have this unique heritage. ❤️

2. Soho House New York

Soho House New York is a hotel and member’s club in Manhattan’s meatpacking district. The house space is for eating, drinking and meeting, with a rooftop pool and screening room. It also hosts the fantastic Cowshed spa to help you to relax and unwind during your stay in this crazy city. I think the above pictures speak for themselves.

3. Crosby Street Hotel

Crosby Street Hotel is situated on a quiet cobbled street in the heart of SoHo. There are 86 bedrooms and suites over 11 floors. Interior design by Kit Kemp reflects a fresh, contemporary style. The hotel offers The Crosby Bar, a private leafy courtyard garden, drawing room, several stylish private event and meeting rooms, a luxurious 99 seat screening room and a fully equipped gym.

4. The Nolitan

Nolita is my favourite district of New York, and I was very excited to stay at The Nolitan a few years back. Since then plenty of new hotels have opened in this area, but I still like this little gem. If your budget allows, get the corner room (pictured above) and ask for the highest floor. The location is fantastic as you are 15 minutes from the heart of Soho, but also only 15min walk from Williamsburg bridge and just a corner away from Bowery Station.

5. 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

1 Hotels are a true luxury lifestyle hotel brand inspired by nature. In today’s world, it’s tough to find businesses that go as far as 1 Hotels at cultivating the best of eco-conscious design and sustainable architecture, without compromising on comfort and exceptional levels of service.
