The Place

The beyond-elegant, top floor bar of the Standard, High Line Hotel.

The Neighbourhood

As its name would suggest, this place is right by the High Line gardens in Manhattan’s hip Meatpacking District. It’s just around the corner from Soho House and one of my top choices for seafood in NYC, Cull & Pistol at Chelsea Market.

A Good Shout for…

Elegant sundowners with an incredible cityscape view.

The Best Bits

  • An exciting drinks menu. Creative cocktails are a speciality. There’s also an evening menu of small plates if you get peckish.
  • Marvelling at the venue's glitteringly golden interior. And that uber-opulent bar - O. M. G.
  • The 360 view. Settle down for the sunset, then watch the lights of the city twinkle in the dusk. If you’re lucky, there'll be a live jazz sunset session to sweeten the deal.
