The Place

The Belgian Chocolate Makers is the biggest chocolate store in Brussels. And it’s filled with exquisite, handmade Belgian chocolates, guaranteed to make your mouth water.

You can pick from classic truffles and pralines or completely customise your own chocolate gift and box. It’s a huge slice of chocolate heaven.

The Neighbourhood

The Châtelain district. The Belgian Chocolate Makers is close to Hinterland and Jat’ Café (both great breakfast spots) and around the corner from the Made in Louise hotel.

It’s also across the street from the Barn Bio Market. So if the choc selection there doesn’t get you salivating, you know where to go.

A Good Shout for…

All things chocolatey and maybe a few gifts. (Whether those gifts make it home in one piece, only you can decide!)

The Best Bits

  • Marvelling at the chocolate creations. Chocolate crab, anyone? This place has a 3D chocolate printer so they can really make chocolate into anything and everything.
  • Opting for a good old standard truffle, knowing that “standard” chocolate in Belgium is always above and beyond.
  • Trying to get a peek at the chocolate workshop going on at the back of the store. This place runs regular classes for budding chocolatiers (check out their website for dates and deets).
