The Place

I’ve loved this place ever since I discovered it. The Photographers’ Gallery is a great little hangout.

Exhibitions, a café and a bookshop. It’s my little slice of photography paradise. And I think even if you’re not as obsessed by photography as I am, it’s a fantastic place to while away an hour or two.

The Neighbourhood

The Photographers’ Gallery is tucked away in central Soho. It’s five minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus station. Ten from Tottenham Court Road. And on a little street that lies between Oxford Street and Great Marlborough Street (also home to Liberty).

A Good Shout for…

Seeing exciting photography and grabbing a bite to eat.

The Best Bits

  • Getting to know new local and international photographers and their work.
  • The book and camera accessory shop in the basement. I love just popping by for a browse. They have old school cameras and film for sale. And piles of rare photography books.
  • The print sales gallery, also in the basement, where you can browse photography works and maybe pick something out to hang at home.
