The Place

An elegant, striking white beach club (that has suites and hosts weddings). There’s a restaurant and lounge bar. And also a food and drink menu for any sun-heads relaxing on Maya daybeds or on the venue’s beach sun loungers.

The Neighbourhood

Cala Vadella bay in the southwest of Ibiza. The nearest town is probably Sant Josep. The beach itself is cute and pretty secluded.

The only downside to this neighbourhood is parking. There’s no official car park for the beach club so you have to find a space on the street (which can get busy) and walk across the sand to the restaurant.

A Good Shout for…

A long, boozy lunch after a morning soaking up rays on the beach. Or a romantic dinner date night.

The Best Bits

  • The view from the beach club. Even back home I kept banging on about that view. Apologies to friends and family. I just couldn’t get enough of that beautiful bay with its amazing turquoise water.
  • Another view – this time from the road that leads you down into the bay. There’s a viewpoint you just have to stop at. You can see all the way down to the beach. And it’s a great spot for a good old Insta shot.
  • The food. I had my first experience of the salt baked sea bass. It might not be the most beautiful dish I've ever seen. But it was de-licious. Other great-sounding stuff on the menu included ceviche and tempura – there are loads of fusion foodie treats to get your teeth into.
