The Place

Stockholm’s museum of contemporary photography. Sitting on the waterfront in an old 20th century customs warehouse. And now decked out with exhibition spaces, café, restaurant and gift shop.

The Neighbourhood

Central, Södermalm district. An easy, breezy 15 minute walk along the harbour from Gamla Stan and the palace.

A Good Shout for…

Photography, of course. But also photography courses for snappers looking to up their game (some sessions are available in English), award-winning chow in the restaurant and some of the best vistas in town.

The Best Bits

  • Browsing the beautiful building and its collection of contemporary photography. Hit me with the culture!
  • Visiting the gallery café (known for its cakes). And devouring a traditional Swedish semla - a mouth-wateringly moreish cream filled bun.
  • Soaking in that famous Stockholm view from the top floor café.
