The Place

Detox Kitchen is my absolute go-to for healthy, delicious, veggie and pescetarian food. I probably rock up here at least once aweek to get my fill. And now they’ve started doing delivery, I don’t even necessarilyneed to leave the front door.

Just like any other good, central London lunch joint, this place gets busy. But don’t freak out if you see a queue. The team behindthe counter here are super speedy and you get served in no time so it’sdefinitely worth sticking it out.

The Neighbourhood

Detox Kitchen sits on Kingly Street, sandwiched between the iconic Regent Street and Carnaby Street, right in the heart of Soho. (They also have a new location in Noho with its own gym attached.)

There are lots of cool places nearby. Liberty is just five minutes’ walk away. Yalla Yalla Lebanese kitchen is 10 minutes’ walk away. And fancy-pants Berners Tavern is more like 15.

A Good Shout for…

A healthy lunch when you’re on-the-go in Soho.

The Best Bits

  • Their amazing selection of salads and juices made fresh every single day. And because it’s made from scratch, when the lunchtime rush is over (at about 3ish), the shelves are pretty much empty.
  • Grabbing a salad box to go and finding a place to sit and munch around the corner on Golden Square.
  • If you’re lucky, grabbing a perch on one of Detox Kitchen’s little outside tables. You can also sit up at the bar but it’s not the most comfortable place to be during the lunchtime scrum.
